What to Expect: Your First Three Visits (and What They Cost)

Most people who call us have already seen several doctors and still don't have a clear answer. So before anything else, we want you to know exactly how this works and what it costs. No surprises.

It starts with a free phone consultation. Before you spend a dollar, we talk. This call is where we learn what you're dealing with and, just as importantly, decide together whether functional medicine is a reasonable fit for your situation. If we don't think we can help, we'll tell you — and often point you somewhere that can.

The first three visits work as a set. Functional medicine isn't a single appointment where you walk out with a prescription. It's an investigation, and it takes three structured steps:

Visit one is a thorough case review. We go through your full history, your prior labs and imaging, your symptoms, and a short food journal you fill out beforehand. This is the detective work — connecting dots that get missed in a rushed ten-minute appointment.

Visit two is your in-office functional medicine examination. We order the lab testing that actually fits your case (more on testing elsewhere on this site) and sit down with you the same day to talk through what we're seeing.

Visit three is your Functional Medicine Road Map — a written, personalized plan built around your results. Nutrition, targeted supplementation where appropriate, and lifestyle changes, laid out so you know exactly what to do and why.

After that, follow-ups. We usually meet monthly for a month or two while things are moving, then space visits out as you improve. You're never locked into a schedule.

What it costs — plainly. Each of your first three visits is $350. Follow-up visits are about $200. That's it. No contracts, no membership, and none of the $10,000–$15,000 upfront "case fees" that are common at other functional medicine practices in this area. You pay as you go, and you only move forward with what you choose. We accept cash, credit and debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. Visits aren't billed to insurance, though outside lab testing often is.

We built it this way on purpose. Good functional medicine shouldn't only be for the wealthy.
