What Comprehensive Stool and Microbiome Testing C"It's just IBS." If you've heard that, you know how unsatisfying it is. It names your symptoms without explaining them. A lot of what we do stan Reveal

What a comprehensive stool analysis can show. Using panels like Genova's GI Effects, we can get a detailed picture of: the balance of beneficial and problematic bacteria in your microbiome; signs of inflammation in the digestive tract; how well you're digesting and absorbing fats and proteins; markers of gut-barrier integrity (often called "leaky gut," or intestinal permeability); and the presence of yeast, parasites, or other unwelcome organisms.

Why that matters for real symptoms. Bloating, irregular stools, food reactions, fatigue after meals, and skin or joint issues can all trace back to what's happening in the gut. When we can see the specific pattern — too few beneficial bacteria, an overgrowth, poor digestion, a compromised gut barrier — the plan stops being guesswork. We address the actual finding instead of just chasing symptoms.

It pairs with other testing. Gut findings rarely sit alone. We often combine stool testing with intestinal-permeability and food-reaction testing, and with micronutrient panels, because absorption problems in the gut frequently show up as nutrient gaps elsewhere.

What you'd do with the results. Your plan is built from what the testing shows — targeted nutrition, specific support to rebalance the microbiome and calm inflammation where needed, and a realistic timeline. It's written into your Road Map so you know the sequence and the reasoning.

A note on cost. Lab testing is separate from your visit fees and is often covered by health insurance. We'll always discuss any testing and its cost with you before you commit to it.
